His latest project, the Metropolis II kinetic sculpture, is no exception. It took Chris a total of 4 years to muster up and complete this project and it certainly shows.

This popular YouTube video will almost leave you speechless, it’s just that amazing. It’s a sneak peak documentary video of Chris Burden’s Metropolis II creation before it gets moved to the Los Angeles Country Museum of Art (LACMA) in the fall of 2011. The video is directed by Ariel and Joost Schulman who had the fortunate honor of spending 3 days at Chris’s studio to see the sculpture up close and personal. I’m sure it’s an experience they won’t soon forget.
