This exclusive and recently released music video is averaging roughly 1 million views per day and has quickly gone viral on YouTube. For those of you who frequently visit our site you’re aware that we love to expose great talent but it’s especially an honor to promote a fellow Canadian and musician as talented as Avril Lavigne. She has achieved such great success over the years and sure has come a long way.

It’s hard to believe that Avril grew up in the same province as myself only a short driving distance away from here in London, Ontario, not as close as Justin Bieber but still very close. Of course now she is known, adored and recognized worldwide for her great musical talent (alright, and partly for her beauty) and for good reason. Not only is she a diverse singer who can go from performing popular grunge rock hits to angelic type songs such as the one featured in her “Goodbye” video, she can also play instruments very well including guitar, piano as well as drums.

Many fans who have Avril Lavigne fever know her for being the punk rock girl from next door type and are wondering if this new look and style is more than just a temporary tribute. Some even believe her “Goodbye” video is partly a reflection and result of her divorce with Deryck Whibley. Sucks to be him is all I can say! Whatever the case I doubt any of her male fans and followers are complaining about seeing her in lingerie despite however extreme it may seem compared to what fans are accustomed to. Nonetheless it’s quite common to witness popular musicians go through transitions as they age and evolve and it has been quite an eventful year for the 27 year old Canadian singer. With that said, it’s no surprise if some of those events have an impact on her music videos and the songs she writes.

Avril is all about giving back to her fans but she is also a philanthropist when it comes to helping children who are sick and/or disabled. Although she’s Canadian she’s quite the advocate when it comes to improving the health care system in the United States which most people know is poor or non-existent at best. We are fortunate here in Canada to have the health care system that we do and it’s wonderful to see Canadians as influential as Avril Lavigne supporting such an important cause outside of her own country of origin. Back on topic here, whether or not Avril’s lingerie look is an omen or sign of things to come is yet to be seen, but one thing that is certain is we haven’t seen anywhere near the last of her yet. Some of you may not know this but for some time now she has been writing songs and prepping for her 5th studio album and it will be exciting to see what she has in store for us next!

Now it’s Monday, a new week has begun, it’s back to the grind and the fun is over. 2012 NBA All-Star Game Brief Recap

As most of you likely already know, the West NBA All-Stars defeated the East with a final score of 152 to 149. It doesn’t get much closer than that, the final score was almost closer than Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel are together! Although Labron James and Kevin Durant both scored a whopping 36 points each, it was Koby Bryant who stole the show with 27 points and made history on Sunday by surpassing Michael Jordan as the NBA’s all-time leading all-star game scorer. Jordan scored a combined total of 262 points during all-star games in his career while Bryant’s total is now 271.

I’ve been a fan of the NBA my entire life and have to say this was by far one of the coolest and most motivating intros I’ve seen in a very long time! It’s sure to pump you up and get the adrenaline flowing no doubt. It’s hard to top a combination of two of the worlds greatest rappers coupled with a bunch of rockin’ and awe inspiring NBA highlights. So much incredible talent joined to create one of the most impressive NBA All-Star weekend openings ever.

This year’s all-star game kicked off with a bang and there was no shortage of exciting highlights in three-point shootout, skills contest sponsored by Taco Bell and the dunk contest either. Plenty of well known celebrities in attendance which of course goes without saying and a fun time had by all. Below is a list of winners for the Saturday events.

Gorgeous model and famous celebrity Danica Patrick recently totaled her GoDaddy stock car after crashing into a wall during a final lap going 200 mph at the Daytona International Speedway. Such an incident is no laughing matter of course, however you have to admit the following parody video is in fact quite hilarious.

Whitney had a voice that was one in a million as does Chris Cornell and his rendition of this classic hit song was brilliantly performed. This performance is quite an honorable tribute to the one and only Whitney Houston and if she’s looking down at us from heaven I’m sure she would agree. It’s no shocking surprise that this video has gone viral with over 1.6 million views in just one short week.

Cornell is easily one of the most versatile vocalists and musicians of our time. He’s well known for his lead vocalist roles over the years in popular bands Soundgarden and Audioslave and he’s had quite an impressive solo career as well. Of course he’s more than just a memorable and amazing voice, let’s not forget how much of a great guitarist he is too.

Chris Cornell has been involved in the creation of numerous classic hit songs over the years but personally my favorite of all time is Hunger Strike. This particular song is in my opinion one of the greatest songs of all time. It’s also quite significant to me since my favorite band of all time happens to be Pearl Jam. Hunger Strike was written and performed by a short lived band called Temple of the Dog which was a collaboration with other famous musicians who are known to have formed Pearl Jam around the same time back in the very early 1990′s.

Alright, on that note now that I feel really old all of a sudden and at the risk of getting too far off topic I’m just going to leave it at that. I really hope you enjoy the acoustic song Cornell recently performed as a tribute to the one and only Whitney Houston as much as I do.

You know for a country music singer she makes for a pretty descent rapper. Then again, she is so beautiful she could burp any song out loud and fans would probably still cheer. Not to discredit her talent or anything, but you have to admit she is one of the most gorgeous and talented music artists out there.
